Leadership Roles

Regional Director

Regional Directors oversee the activities in their state as a whole. The role of the Regional Director is to effectively manage the region's strategy and events in various fields. Directors ensure that programs and activities align with the vision, standards, and framework of the organization. Directors may also lead Chapter Leader, Student Leader and key Volunteers in their respective region. They may also conduct their own workshops.

These Roles are given only to the individuals who meet the eligibility criteria and are passionate to take the organization to the next level.

Eligibility: Must be a student in High School or in College.

Chapter Leader

Chapter Leaders host their workshops and also supervise/lead Chapter members and volunteers. Their responsibilities also include interacting with students and mentors to drive appropriate events and workshops.

These Roles are given only to the individuals who meet the eligibility criteria and are passionate to take the organization to the next level.

Eligibility: Must be a student in High School or in College.

Student Leader

Student Leaders are individual contributors who may run workshops or events in their specific focus area to ensure the success of learners.They may also interact with other members or volunteers to identify appropriate development opportunities and implement new workshops or DYC projects. They may also oversee volunteers.

Eligibility: Must be a student in School or in College.

Depending on the level of one’s commitment or involvement in DYC ongoing activities, individuals may progress to higher level positions up to a Regional Director or Chapter Leader based on their organizational contributions (time, duration, impact, information and strategic value). OTHERS

Mentor

Mentors share with a mentee (or students) information about his/her own career path, educate best practices, as well as provide guidance in various forms. A mentor may help with exploring careers, providing real=time knowledge, skills or ideas, and identifying resources. Your employer may match your volunteer hours for your participation.

Eligibility: All motivated Industry professionals can volunteer as a Mentor

Volunteer

Volunteers participate in the domains of their choice and have the opportunity to work with students of all ages to support them in their quest to DYC success. Their roles could include technical/administrative support, marketing, logistical operations, mentoring, coaching, and community service. Volunteers serve as the backbone of the organization’s activities and support DYC goals through their passion, dedication, and hard work in a variety of capacities and fields.

Eligibility: All individuals can participate as a Volunteer
